MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu, the song that he released in 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN, his first long-player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. In the following year, he was a part of Ozuna to record their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia is his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following calendar year Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he sang a duet. the singer sang a duet 2021 with TINI in her smash hit Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his parents and brother are also musicians. In interviews he has described playing music as an obligation. As a child, he was taught how to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. The initial goal was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under a Cuban teacher. The end result was that he found his ability to sing and also altered the direction of his life.
