Grimes is the son of Pentecostal Pastor in Dayton, Ohio. Grimes received his high school diploma from Dayton Christian High School, in 2002. Luke Grimes has three siblings: two sisters who are named Racheal and Abby as well as a brother called Seth. The Grimes family was a family that was religiously traditional. He attended Dayton Christian High School. After graduating from high school in 2002 Luke made the move from Dayton to New York City to pursue his ambition of becoming an actor. He was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he learned to act for two consecutive years. Additionally, he was enrolled in singing and guitar lessons to improve his musical skills.
